Accessibility Statement
Effective date: August 20, 2026
Bellethy wants everyone to be able to browse, shop, and get help on our website comfortably, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or screen magnification. This statement explains what we do to support accessibility, where we know we can do better, and how to reach us if you run into a barrier.
1. Our commitment
We are committed to making bellethy.com accessible and easy to use for as many people as possible. We treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we build and maintain the site, not a one-time task.
2. What we do to support accessibility
Measures currently in place on our site include:
- A meaningful heading structure (a single main heading per page, with logical sub-headings) so screen-reader users can navigate by headings.
- A “skip to content” link so keyboard users can bypass the header and go straight to the main content.
- Clear page regions (header, navigation, main content, and footer) marked up as landmarks.
- Text alternatives (alt text) for meaningful images, including product photos.
- Labeled form fields, including the newsletter sign-up.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on links, buttons, and form controls, so you can see where you are when navigating without a mouse.
- A shopping-bag drawer that opens as a proper dialog: keyboard focus moves into it, stays within it while open, closes with the Escape key, and returns to where you were.
- Descriptive names on icon controls (search, account, bag) and social links.
- Respect for the “reduce motion” setting in your device or browser, so non-essential animation is minimized when you ask for it.
- Attention to color contrast, including deepening our call-to-action buttons so their text meets recognized contrast guidance.
3. Standards we work toward
We aim to align our site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a practical target. We do not claim that the entire site is fully conformant at all times; rather, we work toward these guidelines and improve continually.
4. An ongoing effort
Accessibility is never truly finished. As we add products, features, and content, we review and improve accessibility over time. We also re-check the site when we make significant changes.
5. Areas we are still improving
We want to be honest about where we know there is room to improve. These may include some color-contrast combinations in secondary elements, and the accessibility of features or content provided by third parties (see below). If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us — your feedback directly helps us prioritize fixes.
6. Third-party content
Some parts of the shopping experience may rely on third-party services (for example, payment processing at checkout). We do not fully control the accessibility of third-party tools, but we choose our partners with usability in mind and will help you complete your purchase another way if you experience difficulty.
7. Getting help or reporting a problem
If you have trouble accessing any part of our site, or you need information or a product in a different format, please contact us (see Section 9). It helps if you can tell us:
- The page or web address where you had trouble;
- A short description of the problem;
- The device, browser, and any assistive technology you were using, if you know it.
8. How we will respond
We take accessibility feedback seriously and will make reasonable efforts to assist you and to address barriers you report. If you contacted us to complete a purchase or get information, we will try to help you do that in an alternative way while we work on a fix.
9. Contact
To share accessibility feedback or ask for help, email us at info@bellethy.com (a dedicated accessibility inbox such as accessibility@bellethy.com is recommended — [REQUIRES ACCESSIBILITY CONTACT EMAIL]). Please include the details listed in Section 7 so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
