Cookie Policy
Effective date: August 20, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies that bellethy.com actually uses, what they do, and the choices you have. It reflects a real audit of our site — we only list what we genuinely use.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember information between page loads and visits — for example, to keep items in your shopping cart or remember that you are signed in. Similar technologies (such as local storage) can serve comparable purposes. Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called “first-party” cookies; cookies set by another company are “third-party” cookies.
2. How Bellethy uses cookies
We keep our use of cookies deliberately minimal. Today, our site uses only first-party cookies in two groups: those that are strictly necessary to run the store, and our own analytics/attribution cookies that help us understand which marketing sources bring visitors to our site. We do not currently use any third-party advertising, social-media, or third-party analytics cookies (see Section 5).
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These make the website work and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set only in response to actions you take, such as adding an item to your cart, signing in, or moving through checkout. Without them, core features like the cart, checkout, and login would not work. Because they are essential, they do not require consent.
4. Analytics and attribution cookies
Our store platform (WooCommerce) includes an “order attribution” feature that uses first-party cookies to record how a visitor arrived at our site — for example, from a search engine, a link, or a direct visit. This helps us understand which marketing efforts are working. These cookies are set by us (first party), are not shared with advertising networks, and do not build a cross-site advertising profile of you. They are optional in the sense that the store still works without them; you can limit them using your browser controls (see Section 8).
5. What we do not use
As of the effective date above, and based on our audit, Bellethy does not use:
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or Google Ads cookies;
- Meta/Facebook Pixel, TikTok, Pinterest, or other social-media advertising cookies;
- Klaviyo, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or similar third-party analytics/behavior tools;
- Third-party affiliate-tracking cookies;
- Third-party embedded content (such as embedded videos or maps) that sets cookies on our pages.
Payment processing, when enabled at checkout, is handled by third-party payment providers on their own systems; any cookies they set are governed by their policies. If we introduce any analytics or advertising technologies in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, add a consent tool with accept, reject, and manage-preferences options before non-essential cookies are set.
6. Cookie inventory
The specific cookies our site uses are listed below. Names ending in a code (such as a hash) will vary. Durations are approximate and set by the underlying software.

7. Your choices and consent
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be turned off in our systems. The only non-essential cookies we currently use are our own first-party attribution cookies described above; they do not identify you to advertisers and are not shared with third parties for advertising. Because we do not currently run third-party advertising or third-party analytics, we do not display a cookie consent banner at this time. If we add such technologies in the future, we will add a consent mechanism that lets you accept, reject, and manage non-essential cookies, and revisit your choices. Where applicable, we also honor recognized opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Managing cookies in your browser
You can view, delete, and block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse or remove cookies and warn you before new ones are set. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break core features such as the cart, checkout, and sign-in. Browser guidance:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
9. Privacy Policy
For more about how we handle your personal information, please read our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if the technologies we use change. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above. If we introduce non-essential third-party cookies, we will update this policy and add an appropriate consent tool before those cookies are set.
